Ce jeudi 5 f\u00e9vrier 2026, le Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique, F\u00e9lix\u2011Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, a pris part \u00e0 la 74e \u00e9dition du National Prayer Breakfast, \u00e0 Washington. Cette rencontre annuelle, plac\u00e9e cette ann\u00e9e sous le th\u00e8me de la r\u00e9conciliation et du dialogue, a r\u00e9uni des responsables publics, des leaders d\u2019opinion et des personnalit\u00e9s venues de divers horizons pour un moment de pri\u00e8re, de r\u00e9flexion et d\u2019\u00e9changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dans son intervention, le Chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat a inscrit son message dans l\u2019esprit du th\u00e8me retenu, en rappelant la valeur universelle de la dignit\u00e9 humaine :
\u00ab Affermis en nous cette conviction : plus forte que nos diff\u00e9rences culturelles et la diversit\u00e9 de nos traditions religieuses, il existe, en chaque \u00eatre humain, une lumi\u00e8re int\u00e9rieure \u2014 une \u00e9tincelle divine \u2014 qui fonde notre valeur, consacre notre dignit\u00e9, et appelle de nous le respect. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Au\u2011del\u00e0 du rituel, cette 74e \u00e9dition a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019occasion de porter l\u2019attention sur les femmes et les hommes \u00e9prouv\u00e9s par les crises contemporaines : victimes des guerres et de la violence, personnes touch\u00e9es par le terrorisme, r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s et d\u00e9plac\u00e9s, enfants priv\u00e9s d\u2019avenir par la mis\u00e8re, familles confront\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019injustice et aux in\u00e9galit\u00e9s. Autant de r\u00e9alit\u00e9s qui appellent, a soulign\u00e9 le Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique, des politiques de r\u00e9conciliation, des gestes concrets de justice et des choix responsables qui prot\u00e8gent la vie et rendent l\u2019esp\u00e9rance possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le Chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat a, enfin, formul\u00e9 un v\u0153u de paix et de fraternit\u00e9 entre les nations, appelant \u00e0 l\u2019av\u00e8nement d\u2019un monde o\u00f9 la paix, la justice, la droiture, la libert\u00e9, la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la dignit\u00e9 soient davantage garanties pour tous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eisenhower, le National Prayer Breakfast est un rendez\u2011vous annuel \u00e0 Washington qui vise \u00e0 rassembler, dans un esprit de respect et d\u2019\u00e9coute, des d\u00e9cideurs et des personnalit\u00e9s de sensibilit\u00e9s diverses autour d\u2019un temps de pri\u00e8re et de dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
